Yarners Club

at Mason First Presbyterian Church

We use our knitting and crocheting skills to support church and community charitable efforts, while enjoying devotions and fellowship with each other.

We meet the 1st and 3rd Saturdays from 10am-noon. Generally, we meet in the Bride's Room, but have found occasion to meet at the homes of our members. We welcome new yarners!

If you have questions, donations, or ideas for our group, please contact us. For yarn and other donations, you may drop items off in our wicker basket in the memorial room closet, or in the church office.

2010 Projects included:

Scarves and children's hats to City Rescue Mission of Lansing
Scarves, hats, and mittens to Angel House
Dishcloths and scrubbers to Deacons' food baskets
Prayer shawls and prayer blankets to our church family
End of Year Holiday Sales, with proceeds going toward Boiler Fund

In 2011, the Yarners have decided on 5 categories for our End of Year Holiday Sales. You can look forward to seeing handmade creations in each of the following groups: MSU, Toys, Ornaments, Kitchen, and Totes. If you'd like to donate materials, we love soft yarns, cotton yarn, and large quantities of like yarn. For this year's sale, we could also use magnets, stuffing, buttons...
