Parking and Accessibility
Parking:
We are fortunate to have plenty of easily accessible parking. We own about half a dozen spaces directly behind the church building, and there is an ample supply of municipal parking on the streets adjacent to the church and around the courthouse square, as well as in a municipal lot on the far side of Barnes Street, just northeast of the church. Curbside parking is also permitted on Barnes Street.
Accessibility:
We have an elevator! We have an elevator! Thanks to our renovation efforts in the summer of 2016, our historic building is now completely accessible.
The elevator entrance is through the white door at the west end of the building (adjacent to the Hilliard Building). There is one designated handicapped parking spot in front of the elevator and the sidewalk slopes down to the street so there are no steps from the street to the elevator. The elevator entrance is unlocked on Sunday mornings and on Wednesday afternoons when there is programming. At other times we typically keep the door locked; however, we are happy to unlock it anytime there is need. Just call the office at 676-9333 and we'll make sure the door is unlocked for you. Once in the elevator, you can either go up half a flight to the main level (with the sanctuary, main office, pastor's office, and nursery) or down half a flight to the lower level (with the dining room, Spiritual Growth office, and chapel).
There is also a fully accessible entrance on the lower level, off of Barnes Street, that provides easy access to the dining room. You can also get to the elevator from that entrance, through the dining room and down the hallway.
We also have three fully accessible unisex restrooms in the building. Two are located across from the elevator entrance on the main (sanctuary) level); the third is on the lower level near the dining room.
