at Mason First Presbyterian Church




On Wednesdays at noon we offer a 20-minute midweek prayer service, intended to be a peaceful respite in the midst of your busy week.  We gather in peaceful quiet in dim light accompanied by quiet, contemplative music.  The service begins with some opening sentences from the scriptures and continues with the reading or singing of a psalm, a scripture passage for the day, time for quiet meditation or journal writing, prayers of thanksgiving, petition, or intercession, time for personal prayer or meditation accompanied by soft music, the reading or singing of the Lord's Prayer, and greeting one another with the peace and love of Jesus Christ.  The service is open to all people.  No offering is collected; the service is a free gift to the people of Mason.

Following the prayer service, everybody is invited to the dining room for a simple soup lunch and warm fellowship around the table.  Donations to offset the cost of the food are appreciated.
