  • (2008) A compendium of policy statements and position papers on dozens of different topics that have been adopted over the years.

  • (2002) A study document about who we understand Jesus Christ to be.

The Confession of 1967: Inclusive Language Text
  • (2001) A revised text of the Confession of 1967 (which is in our Book of Confessions) employing fully inclusive language for the people of God.

A Theological Understanding of the Relationship Between Christians and Jews
  • (1987) A study paper that articulates seven affirmations about the relationship between Christians and Jews, including affirmations that "the living God whom Christians worship is the same God who is worshiped and served by Jews," that "both the church and the Jewish people are elected by God for witness to the world and that the relationship of the church to contemporary Jews is based on that gracious and irrevocable election of both," that "Jews are already in a covenantal relationship with God," and more.

The Confession of Belhar
  • (1986) A theological statement that originated in South Africa during the struggle with apartheid and that speaks about how Christ's reconciling work calls us to work towards reconciliation between people of different races or ethnicities. This statement may be added to our Book of Confessions within the next few years.

Presbyterian Understanding and Use of Holy Scripture / Biblical Authority and Interpretation
  • (1982/1983) Two major church documents that address the Bible's place and function within the community of faith.

Peacemaking: The Believer’s Calling
  • (1980) A theological and ethical discussion about our call to be peacemakers in our world.

  • (1977) A theological statement about Christian beliefs, similar to other statements found in the Book of Confessions.
